Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, the club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They are one of the best and strongest team in England. Below are some incredible records they have achieved since inception.

1. Fourth Most Successful Premier League Club
In terms of domestic tournaments, the club has actually performed excellently. They have won six league titles, eight FA Cups, five League Cups and four FA Community Shields. Likewise at the International level, they also have a good record of trophies won. They have won two European Cups, two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups, two UEFA Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup. In terms of overall trophies won, it is the fourth-most successful club in English football.

 

2. They Have Won Treble Twice
They are one of five clubs to have won all three of UEFA’s main club competitions. They are the first English club to achieve the UEFA treble and the only club to have won all three major European competitions twice. Aside all these, they are also the only London club to have won the Champions League and the Club World Cup. This is another notable record that might not be broken anytime soon.

 

3. Fewest Goals In A Season
Chelsea hold the English record for the fewest goals conceded during a league season, the highest number of clean sheets overall in a Premier League season and the most consecutive clean sheets from the start of a league season.

4. Numbered Shirts
On 25th August 1928, Chelsea, along with Arsenal, became the first premier league club to officially play with numbered shirts in their match against Swansea Town. After this record, other teams started numbering their shirts for easy recognition of players on the pitch. Although it was done before now but it wasn’t official neither recognized Internationally.
