Analysis: 3 Things That Might Happen To Chelsea As A Billionaire Acquires It

By Jay Wasinda (self media writer)

Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, the club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football.

Trophies Won Under Roman

Domestically, the club has won six league titles, eight FA Cups, five League Cups, and four FA Community Shields. Internationally, they have won two European Cups, two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups, two UEFA Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup. In terms of overall trophies won, it is the fourth-most successful club in English football.

On May 7 2022, the club finally confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital. Below are things that might happen to the club after the purchase.

1. The Club Might Flopp

If you check the statistics from when Abramovich bought the club, you will see that the performance of the club dropped drastically. It was later on that he got used to the ways a club could be managed. Since Todd has never managed any club, his ideas might make Chelsea to flopp initially.

2. The Manager Might Be Changed

This is another thing that will probably happen. Any business man entering into the business world will like to choose a new and familiar manager. But to me, he shouldn’t change the manager until the next season to see how they can cope with each other.

3. Some Players Will Leave The Club

Without anyone telling you, some players might not like the behaviour and payment of the incoming manager and will like to change. Non player will like to play for such a big club for a low payment rate. If star players leave the club, many fans will also leave as well.
