Checkout The New Position Occupy By Chelsea In The Club World Ranking After FA Cup Final Lost

Despite losing the FA Cup final on penalties to Liverpool on Saturday night, Chelsea still retains the position as the number one club in the world. Chelsea has been in this position for the past four months.
April may not be their best of months, but Chelsea has done well to prove their critics wrong. Thomas Tuchel’s side were hammered by Brentford 4-1 before suffering a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg at Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea made a commanding comeback by thrashing Southampton 6-0 in front of their home fans to send a warning signal to Real Madrid. Chelsea almost make a historic comeback at Madrid but were stopped by the red-hot Karim Benzema and bowed out of the champions league in style on a 5-4 aggregate after a remarkable 3-2 win in regulation time.
Despite the ups and downs in recent weeks, Chelsea is still leading in the Club World Ranking with 305 points.
But, Club Atletico Mineiro, the club from Brazil is almost closing the gap on Chelsea with just one point separating both sides.
Chelsea, at this point, needs to avoid any further defeats if they must continue to be the best in the world.
Third on the ranking is SE Palmeiras, also from Brazil with 296 points. They were second in the previous ranking but drop to third after losing some vital points in recent weeks while CR Flamengo is Fourth with 281 points.
Liverpool completes the top five with 277 points after moving five places up. This was evident in their performance in recent weeks.
