Even without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, Chelsea proved they can play very well.
Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James and Ben Chilwell were all on the scoresheet as Norwich woefully defeated at Stamford Bridge.
Below is Chelsea’s players rating.
Edouard Mendy – 8
He was solid on the goal post in Norwich City match with Chelsea and his stopping with his leg to stop a Norwich goal was superb.
Antonio Rudiger – 8
Antonio Rudiger is always energetic in the pitch and he did have a couple of half decent efforts. he was solid at the defensive side as well.
Trevoh Chalobah – 8
He has fit into Chelsea first team so well like he has stayed long in there for the last three seasons. He was cool, doing well in attack and midfield when stepping out, and good defensively.
Thiago Silva – 8
Silva was so good on the ball and making the right pass out of the back, helping to set up many Chelsea attacks and good moves.
Reece James – 8
Scored Chelsea’s third goal and his overall performance was fantastic throughout the game. Links up really well with Mason Mount, obviously!
Jorginho – 8
Lovely assist for Mount’s goal in the first 45 minutes and his overall performance was energetic. He helped control their pressing as they hunted in packs to get the ball back.
Mateo Kovacic – 9
The pass from Kovacic set up Hudson-Odoi’s first half goal and his passing range going forward was Superb, he has really improved this season. Great contributions for Chelsea on the ball and dribbling out of danger.
Ben Chilwell – 8
He is trying on his inverted wing back role and often looks like he is playing more in the ten role. He looked to be struggling a bit with a niggle at the start of the game but soon sorted that out and contributed well and finished his goal nicely.
Callum Hudson-Odoi – 9
He was very lively during the match and did the hard work to help set up Mason Mount’s first goal and then followed that up with a beautiful run and finish of his own goal to put Chelsea 2-0 up.
Mason Mount – 10
Took the first goal excellently with a great drilled shot, assisted Reece James for his goal with a perfectly weighted pass before scoring twice more to cap off a hat-trick in the last 10 minutes of the match, He won man of the match.
Kai Havertz – 6
He was certainly dull and least effective of the front three but he also had some good moments and held the ball up well when he was asked to. Would have liked to have seen more good job from him.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek subs with Jorginho (63 mins) – 7
was in good form as expected when he was sub and helped Chelsea control the rest of the game.
Ross Barkley subs with Hudson-Odoi (68 mins) – 7
Hakim Ziyech subs with Havertz (68 mins) – 7
Did well in attack side for Chelsea with some nice little touches.
