Paris Saint Germain defender Marquinhos is a target for Chelsea who made a move in the just concluded window but failed to sign him.
Thomas Tuchel might decide to go back for the Brazilian who was one of his regulars during his time with the club.
Marquinhos is amongst top target for Chelsea who will be looking to make another move for the defender.
Paris Saint Germain are not looking to sanction a move, but they could be forced if the player decides to leave them.
Marquinhos and Thiago Silva both partnered for the French side during their time together and it was outstanding as they got to Champions League final.
Chelsea are now looking to make it happen once again with them hoping they could sign the Brazilian who didn’t look like he wanted the move.
According to French news outlet RMC Sport, Chelsea tried to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos from PSG in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that the Blues were looking to bolster their centre-back options ahead of the new season which already kicked off.
They liked the idea of Marquinhos joining countryman Thiago Silva in the backline which was seen at PSG and was one of the best in Europe.
It’s understood that Chelsea were willing to send €100million on the 27-year-old who has proven to be one of the best in football over the years.
Although, neither the club wanted to push through the deal after Marquinhos made it clear he wanted to stay in Paris with the team.
The Blues dropped out of the deal and had to move on to Jules Kounde who they reached agreement for personal terms.
But unfortunately, the deal collapsed on last day as Sevilla were demanding for €80 million while Chelsea wanted to pay just €50M for the France International.
