Chelsea starting XI as Jorginho captains the team to take on West Ham


With a number of players with Injury and certain tactics not going as planned against Watford on Wednesday, Thomas Tuchel has been forced to make wholesale changes this afternoon.

The hamstring injury to Trevoh Chalobah means that he loses his place to the experienced Andreas Christensen who will lineup Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva in a back three.

Saul Niguez’ midfield partnership with Ruben Loftus-Cheek only last 45 minutes so the Chelsea boss has called upon Jorginho to replace the former Atletico Madrid star instead.

Reece James is back from injury of his foot problem and goes in as a straight swap for Cesar Azpilicueta.

Mason Mount and Kai Havertz keep their spaces in the attacking position but Christian Pulisic is pulled out of the firing line for Hakim Ziyech.
