Chelsea have been issued a warning about their plans of signing Federico Chiesa in 2022.
The Blues have reportedly been linked with a move for the player who has been on tremendous form.
Glen Johnson isn’t sure Chelsea need to sign Federico Chiesa who he feels they don’t need him that badly.
Juventus have placed a huge price tag on the forward who they demand €100 million before he could leave.
Top clubs all across Europe including Chelsea have been showing strong interest since Euro 2020 which took place this year.
Former Chelsea right-back Glen Johnson has warned the Blues that they do not need Federico Chiesa in their team that already has so much to offer.
“I’m a fan. I didn’t know too much about him before the Euros but he’s a quick winger, hard-working and looks like he’s got the attributes to suit the Premier League,” Johnson told BettingOdds.
“Whether Chelsea is the right fit, I’m not sure. I don’t think they need him.
“If they could get him, they would, but I don’t think they need to.
“But I believe he’s the sort of player that, when he needs to, would perform in a way that would suit the Premier League.”
The Blues might be making a move as soon as the January window opens with them hoping to bring him in.
