The future of Erling Haaland is one of football’s most significantly discussed topics in history with 13 goals in 10 appearances at the start of this season, it is easy to see why Thomas Tuchel is keen to sign the striker despite having Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
The only problem for Chelsea is that almost every other club in the world wants are interested in Erling Haaland including Chelsea rivals Man United and Man City, despite his recent injury blow.
While Real Madrid and Barca also have been sniffing around to sign Haaland, as he has previously spoken of his ambition to play for one of the biggest clubs in England.
“I have dreamed of playing for the best clubs in the world my whole life, and I especially like English clubs,” he told TV2 in 2019.
Man U perhaps pose the biggest threat for Chelsea in signing Haaland.
Man u also have a hero of Haaland’s steering the ship in Ole Gunnar. The Norwegian has spoken regularly in the past of his warm approval for the 1999 Champions League final hero.
The sacking of Solskjaer as speculated following man u defeat from Liverpool, therefore prove a big boost in the Blues pursuit for Haaland.
While Man united still looks for a striker in the summer, Chelsea were heavily linked with a move and Haaland was even speculated to be willing to join Chelsea as his destination.
That may have changed following Romelu Lukaku’s back to Stamford Bride but the head coach still remains a big fan of Erling Haaland, recently telling SportBILD that he would have no issue using the two front-men together.
Thomas Tuchel later insisted he was joking but clearly enough that he would love to see Erling Haaland in Chelsea.
It is a transfer mission that could be boosted by Manchester United sacking Solskjaer.
