They won’t be available to play against Morecambe tomorrow.
Frank Lampard, Chelsea head coach has ruled out N’golo Kante, Andreas Christensen and Reece James from the upcoming FA Cup on Sunday against Morecambe due to injuries.
Chelsea have five academy players training with the senior team to help cover the injury trio.
The good news is that both Jame’s and Andreas’ injury are not a serious one though Reece James already missed two matches against Aston Villa and Manchester City but Is very close to returning, according to Frank Lampard.
It was revealed by lampard at the press conference on Friday via Chelsea’s official YouTube Channel that Kante has a minor hamstring injury which already will make him not to be available for the match and is on-hold for the Fulham game anyway.
He also said that Reece James is out for the match though he will be training with them today. The same as Andreas Christensen.
Andreas is another player who is now on the point of making a comeback which is a ‘good news’ according to Frank.
Andreas’ injury came up during the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in December and the Denmark international has received lots of criticism for staying down after the incident which led to Villa equalizer.
“The injury isn’t too serious which is a positive news for him and should be back training with us today” lampard said.
Even with the injury updates, Chelsea will still go into tomorrow’s game as heavy favorites against league two side Morecambe.
